Brookline · Fine dining

A neighborhood bistro for slow dinners and louder laughter.

Open evenings only. Hand-cut pasta, wood-fired mains, a 40-bottle wine list and a kitchen that takes its time.

Our story

Three generations behind one quiet door on Beacon Street.

Luna opened in 2014 in a former bookshop on Beacon — twelve tables, an open kitchen, and a Calabrian grandmother's cookbook on the counter. The menu has changed every season since, but the ethos hasn't: cook the best ingredients we can find, pour wine we'd drink ourselves, and treat every table like family showed up.

Chef Marco trained at Babbo and at Locanda Locatelli before coming home. He's here every service. Pastry is run by his sister Lia. The wine list is our father's.

40Bottle wine list

Best meal I've had in the city this year. The ribeye was perfection — charred edges, ruby center, that bone-marrow butter is criminal. Service was attentive without hovering.

Came for our anniversary. The room is intimate and warm, the wine list is incredible, and chef came out to greet us at the end. Felt like Paris.

The duck confit is a religious experience. Save room for the olive oil cake — it's deceptively simple and absolutely perfect.
